We need to keep our focus on the strengths our students have. They can learn and grow when they know we value them and the strengths they bring to our classroom.
Has Mr. Buckingham been listening at our window around midterms and report card time? It is difficult as a parent to balance out the negatives with positives! I am usually better at this with my students than with my own child. I will try to do a better job this school year both at school and at home!
Oh, Gaye! Thank you for your honest comments! We have all 'been there'. I join you in looking to the future. This year we will look for those strengths!
